After about less than a year one of the boys parents and their lawyer appealed the verdict, because the boy lied. He wanted to look cool, though his friends will respect him, so on. He would serve his sentence because of that, but in jails the rapist are lower group of people, beaten, sleeping near dirty places, boys for running, other things close to what he admitted doing. He couldn't handle it. That's a stupid thing to say, write, talk, think.
