I used to write love letters for some of my stepbrothers girlfriends. They would spent hours and all could come up with was only "I love you" and for the girls it was "I don't love you", because they wanted to read a "book".
I was writing at least 2 pages of thoughtful material. Some times just rewrited from popular books, or making jokes, and the girls would never call back.
One was stacking my stepbrother for almost a year after my letter. He had to spend all evenings with his mom. And he said it was my fault, but I didn't find the crazy one, I just wrote a few pages first letter.
We didn't have computers or cell phones, everything was written and sent by mail or secretly dropped in mail box...
