This is not a true story. I don’t even know who made it up, but
I remember it was one of the most popular scary stories in our “girls only”
playground.
“One man, Igor, had to call off his wedding, because this fiance cheated and left him a few days before the wedding ceremony. And also Igor had
problems with his business, money, angry parents… Every problem just was at the
same time.
And Igor started to drink heavily and spending most of his time
depressed in old cheap bar.
One evening Igor noticed at the next table a young crying woman
dressed in the wedding dress. The woman had a bottle of vodka on her table and
probably was thinking to drink it all alone.
Igor joined her, asking why she was crying here in the dirty bar
and why she was wearing wedding dress.
The woman said her name was Olga and today was her wedding.
Everything else Olga was saying was not wear clear and soon Igor stopped asking
any questions.
Igor offered Olga a glass of red wine and a nice talk.
Olga was still sad or nervous and she spilled wine on her
wedding dress, which turned in a big red stain.
Igor and Olga spent the very nice night together, just walking
in Olga’s favorite places, in the park, near the river and talking about
everything in the world.
In the morning Olga said she had to go home and Igor walked her
to her apartment building. Igor wrote his phone number, Olga promised to call
tomorrow, they kissed each other good bye and Igor went home happy and almost
in love.
But Olga did not call the next day, or week after.
After two weeks Igor went to Olga’s apartment. He described Olga
to an old lady cleaning floor. She showed him Olga’s door, but said don’t go
there.
Igor knocked the door anyway.
“I want to see Olga” – he asked a messy, a bit drunk and sad woman.
“What do you want” – the woman replied quietly, “Olga was killed
two weeks ago on her wedding day".
Igor found where Olga was burred and there was a woman in a wedding dress with a red wine stain on it.
